Release Notes: Inventory List Changes

8/5/2024

There have been several changes to the inventory list to increase the ease of use and make it more consistent with other pages in terms of filter and column names/organization.  NOTE* This is not the UI/UX changes that we spoke about in User Information Session.  There will be better and prettier things to come in the future!

  • The Facility filter has been renamed Location to make it consistent with other pages.
  • The Shelves filter has been renamed to Shelf.
  • The Manufacturer and Supplier filters have been made into a multiselect option to increase the flexibility of the filter. The Product Group filter will be changed to function this way in a later update.

  • The W/O Purchasing Info button has been renamed Missing Cost to help convey its purpose a little better. This button has also moved over to the left side of the screen next to the print button. Clicking the Missing Cost button will show you any product that has $0.00 entered as its Cost.  It is absolutely fine to have products with $0.00 set as its cost if you intend to do so, but this will just let you easily find those product and change the cost if needed.
  • The Create Order With Selected Items has been removed.

  • The Cost Column has been renamed Default Supplier Cost to make the information it is conveying clearer.
  • The columns have been reorganized to better suit searching by item.  The order is now Description, Manufacturer Code, Manufacturer, Product Group, Location, Supplier, Cost UOM, Default Supplier Cost, In Stock, and Total Cost.
  • The green Info button has been removed as this information was redundant. Now, you will only see the button that takes you to the Edit Product page.

  • The ability to view your stock in more detail is still available, but the yellow button around your In Stock quantity has changed to a hyper link. This will take you to what used to be called the Inventory Locations page, but we now call this the Shelf Breakdown page. From here, you can perform all the same functions, but we have removed the Hide Lots Without Quantity button as we found that it led to misuse. This means that only shelves with a quantity on it will be displayed here. If edits to the quantities need to be made for a product, please use the Add and Dispense functions from the Stock Room page. You can select adjustment as the Reason and correct your counts this way and it will not reflect as a purchase or normal usage on reports.

  • The column headers are now locked and will be seen as you scroll down the Inventory List.
